Guyton Group’s golf tourney benefits Veteran’s Count

Veterans Count, a program of Easterseals New Hampshire, recently received a $5,000 check from The Guyton Group, a financial strategic advisory firm in Portsmouth.

The Guyton Group held its first annual golf tournament to benefit Veterans Count this summer, a program that will support the Easterseals organization for years to come. The Guyton Group’s golf tournament committee included Andrew Guyton, Robert Harbeson and Nicholas Aube of the firm.

MMA fighter Johnny Burgess aims to set world record

Mixed martial artist Johnny Burgess will attempt to accomplish one of his life’s goals by setting a world record, while at the same time giving kids stricken with cancer a fighting chance of survival.

Burgess, the owner of Team Burgess MMA in Manchester and the principal for the Aflac Insurance agency in New Hampshire, intends to eclipse the Guinness Book of World Records mark of breaking 2,897 one-inch wooden boards with his hands in one hour. This record has stood since May 10, 2003. The attempt will be from 5:45 to 6:45 p.m. tonight prior to the start of Combat Zone 64 at the Downtown Radisson Hotel in the Queen City.

From the Marines to Growing an Insurance Firm
