Eastern Bank Honors Martha Stone
Eastern Bank recently honored Martha Stone with the bank’s 2016 Community Advocacy Award, which recognizes people who have given their time and talent to address a vital need in their community. Stone, executive director of Cross Roads House, was recognized for her devoted effort to end homelessness and assist shelter residents in obtaining affordable housing on the Seacoast. Stone, who joined Cross Roads House in 2004 as development director, has been executive director since 2013.
Newington Firm Awarded Product of the Year
A life-support device designed to protect those looking to help others was awarded the top recognition at this year’s Product of the Year ceremony. Wilcox, a Newington-based tactical product manufacturing company, was chosen as winner at this year’s New Hampshire High Tech Council’s annual event Thursday at the Manchester Country Club. The Scott Hybrid Patriot 5510 is a backpack respirator system that offers life support for military and first responders. The latest iteration of the product adds Bluetooth communication technology that monitors location and air levels, and reduced weight of 10 pounds.

Intriguing Women-Led Businesses: ATA Outdoor Media
Jane Cutter’s work likely surrounds your daily travels, particularly in NH’s cities. Cutter is president and founder of ATA Outdoor Media in Greenland, which sells advertisements on bus wraps, bus shelters and billboards. She first worked in an advertising agency, which helped Coast Bus system in the Seacoast with their marketing. Her boss helped her spin off her own business. “I Knew if I could network all these smaller systems together, advertisers would come calling,” Cutter says. She now has contracts with all the major transit systems in NH and Maine, assists in national transit sales in Burlington, VT, and manages all of the sales for Lowell and Haverhill, Mass.
Coach McDonnell Named New England Coach of the Year
University of New Hampshire Football Head Coach Sean McDonnell was named the recipient of the 2016 Jack Grinold Division I New England Coach of the Year by the New England Football Writers Association. It is the sixth time he has received this distinction. McDonnell will be presented the award Thursday, December 8 at the Annual Awards and Captains Banquet held at Montvale Plaza (Stoneham, Mass.).

CPManagement, Inc. is pleased to announce its corporate sponsorship included hosting a breakfast for the 9th Annual Pease ‘n Carrots Food Drive. As part of that effort, it promoted the food drive the November New Hampshire Commercial Investment Board of Realtor’s (NHCIBOR) Seacoast Marketing Meeting, where participants were each encouraged to bring their food donations and others chose to make a monetary contribution, contributing $200 and two plus carts of non-perishable food items.
